Our Research Focus and Methodology
Our research focuses on practical applications of sensor-based technologies and Internet-of-Things. We mainly focus on deploying sensor systems in various daily life activities in order to collect raw sensor data. The raw data then used to trend computer systems in order to make various decisions or to solve different practical problems.
Most of our solutions incorporate bottom up compositions of smart entities coordinating in an ad hoc and distributed manner. This is different from a centralized solution and gives higher scalability. Our research makes a meanigful utilization of several wired and wireless networking techniques, emerging networking paradigms such as Delay-tolerant networks, Named Data Networks, Internet of Things and Wireless Sensor Networks. We also use various machine learning techniques to make intelligent decisions based on the raw sensor data. Our work is associate with smart personal devices of users which are mostly mobile and resource-constrained in nature.
